1.Connect USB and Go to “This PC“.
2.Right Click on the bootable USB drive.
3.Click on Format.
4.Click and select FAT32 (Default) from the file system drop-down menu.
5.Mark/Select “Quick Format” and click on “Start“.
6.Click “OK” on WARNING
7.Click “OK” on the format complete pop-up.
How to make a bootable USB unbootable using Disk Management
If you are not able to make bootable USB unbootable using the normal format then you can use Disk Management to format your bootable USB to normal again. So, here are the steps to do that:
1.Search “disk management” and click “Create and format hard disk partitions“.
2.Right click on bootable USB and click on “Format“.
3.Click “Yes” on alert.
4.Type your volume level name -> select FAT32 -> click ok
5.Done. You have successfully make a bootable USB normal again.
Format Bootable USB to Normal Using Diskpart
If you are not able to format your bootable USB to normal by using a manual process and Disk Management then you can use Diskpart to format your bootable USB to normal again. So, here are the steps to do that:
1. Search “RUN” and click on “RUN” from the top left sidebar.
2.Type “diskpart” and click on “OK“.
3.Type “list disk” and press “Enter“.
4.Type “select disk USB disk number” eg. “select disk 2” and click “Enter“.
5.Type “clean” and hit “Enter“.
6.Type “create partition primary” and hit “Enter“.
7.Type “format fs=fat32” and hit “Enter“.
8.Done. You have successfully format bootable USB to normal.
